My name is Alexis and I am SO excited to share my page with you! My mission is supply non-native speaking parents with Mandarin stories that make language learning fun and engaging.

My digital art journey began last year when I decided it was time to start teaching my daughter how to read Chinese characters. I was shocked to find the books available to me in the US were either dull Chinese textbooks or decent storybooks but with such tiny print it was hard for her to recognize any of the characters.

As someone who's always loved creating art, I decided to take action and start making my own storybooks that my daughter would want to read and would make teaching her fun.

Fast forward to now: I'm 4 books in and ready to share the progress I've made (and continue to make!) as a budding illustrator and Mandarin educator.
